If the schedule or weather postpones this, it will be done on the next
available day.
PROCEDURE:
1. Have your
Cougar Run Score Sheet ready. If you do
not have the score sheet, you may use a piece of binder paper instead, but you
will lose one point. If you make a copy
of a cougar run score sheet and use it, no deduction will be made.
- Length of run: 20 minutes.
- On the signal student may run lap, or run straights and walk turns. Upon completion, teacher or assistant will mark your score sheet. If student fails to run on straight away, student will not get credit for the lap.
- Unless student has documentation of physical limitations, students will loose a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participation points for not running the minimum amount of laps per quarter. See amount per quarter below.
Quarter
#1: 5 laps; quarter #2: 6 laps, quarter #3: 5 laps, Quarter #4: 6 laps.
- After all students have completed the Cougar Run, they are to record points earned on their P.F.C. and with the teacher.
- Cougar Runs can be made up due to absence. Doctor notes used for Cougar Runs will be excused.
- There will be two Cougar Runs for Make Up/Extra credit scheduled after school each quarter.
- A walking program will be made available to those students with physical limitations that would prohibit success in this area.
