Assertive Discpline Plan-Class Rules

RULES:

1. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS- do what is asked the first time it is asked.
2. BE CONSIDERATE-keep your hands/feet/objects to yourself.  No swearing, teasing, rough housing, name-calling or the use of the phrase ‘SHUT UP’.
3. BE ON TIME TO CLASS- Excused tardy = OK / Unexcused tardy = -1 participation point.
4. DRESS OUT IN THE CORRECT PE UNIFORM-all students must dress out every P.E. class, unless otherwise directed.
5. BE AWARE-
• That the eating/chewing of gum, candy, food, paper, etc. is not allowed.
• That permission is necessary to use restroom/water fountain.
• That proper P.E. clothes must be worn.  Any dress or uniform violation affecting your participation is a loss of points. A School Rule Violation will be written for each infraction.  No warnings will be given.
• That a written excuse from a parent excusing a student from a PE activity will result in the loss of participation points.  Doctor or school nurse notes will be honored without the reduction of participation points.

CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT FOLLOWING RULES: (one or more may be used)

1. Participation grade will be lowered. (student will loose a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participation points)
2. Conduct grade will be lowered.
3. Isolation from class, until ready to participate.
4. Repeated or severe infraction will result in a referral and immediate suspension from class.
5. Direct disobedience by a student will result in a referral and immediate suspension from class

• O- Excellent-………………………………..no marks
• S – Satisfactory……………………………1 - 3 marks
• N - Needs improvement-…………………..4 - 5 mark                                                          
• U – Unsatisfactory………………………...6 - or more marks

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM:

The Physical Education uniform will consist of the following:

1. TKJHS Physical Education shorts & shirts or equal
2. Athletic shoes with laces. Shoes must be tied during P.E. class
3. Name on P.E. uniform as directed by teacher. No other writing on P.E. clothes is permitted.
4. T.K. sweatshirt and matching sweatpants may be worn when needed, but it is not in place of regular uniform.
5. P.E. uniforms are to be intact. No rips, tears or removal of sleeves is permitted.
6. Students will have 5 minutes at the start and end of class to change into and out of their P.E. uniform.
